About Us
Our History ~
Liga International was founded in the 1930's by Dr. Iner Ritchie after he visited Mexico and became
aware of the magnitude of the unmet healthcare needs in the smaller communities. The Fresno Liga Chapter was formed in 1989. In 1997, a new clinic was built. the North, East, and Fig Garden Rotary Clubs of Fresno and the Garabedian Foundation were all instrumental in this endeavor.

Our Future ~
Plans are underway to build a surgical suite, after which we will be able to expand our services, including eye, foot, hand and other minor surgical procedures. In addition, work has begun on a dental care suite that will enable oral surgery, hygiene and other dental care services to be provided. All of this will be accomplished in collaboration with our Mexican colleagues and friends.
